I have many programs, some that cost many 100s of dollars,i find RIFFWORKS is by far the easiest to use..the sound quality is very good and the option to save to wave makes it a great tool. i also use AUDACITY,another great program, and its free..togeather with riffworks you can make some pretty darn good music..just take a listen to the RIFFCASTER site...peace, strato..

I suggest using Garage Band to record guitar with. If you don't need the top of the line studio editing software, Garage Band is a great way to go. It has a MIDI, multi-track recording, and tons of loops. I love noodling on my guitar in Garage Band.
